From September 2020 our Pre School class became Great Denham Nursery.  This means that the class called 'Little Stars' is taught by a teacher and teaching assistants.  Our Nursery teachers are Miss Neale ( EYFS Assistant Head) and Mrs Graham. The Nursery class is for children for the school year before they start in Reception ( i.e. the September after their third birthday).  Learning is planned and delivered by experienced staff in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage and there will be close links and liaison with the Reception staff to ensure there is a smooth transition for those children who move onto Great Denham Primary School. There are 30 places in our Nursery class and children can attend either mornings, afternoons or full days. Places are offered in line with our Nursery Admissions Policy which can be found in the policies section.

Government funding means that all three and four-year-olds not in school are entitled to 15 hours funding from the term after their third birthday.  Extra sessions will be available for parents to book.  Parents can apply through the government website for Extended funding of up to an additional 15 hours.  If you are not eligible for the additional Extended funding  there will be a charge of £12.00 per session.

The morning session runs from 8.45am - 11.45am and the afternoon from 12.15pm - 3.15pm.

If you child attend the Nursery Class all day, they will stay for lunch. Your child is welcome to bring a packed lunch, however, if you would like your child to have a school dinner this is booked on a separate system and is charged at £2.50 per day (these charges are subject to change).

Children in our Nursery  are able to attend both the After School Club and the Breakfast Club.

Our Nursery class wear a uniform which is available from our uniform suppliers.

The Nursery class  is also able to support the 30 hours funding agreement.  To check if your child is eligible please click on the following link www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare.
